Hey! My name’s Kate and I’m a food blogger. Thanks for stopping by on my little piece of the internet.
I’m a lawyer by day and food writer by night. I live in the city centre of Manchester, England and enjoy exploring everything that it has to offer (especially the food scene).
I’ve always loved food and for years I’ve shared photos and recipes on my personal social media. I’m that friend who wants to take snaps of your food and then asks if I can try some. I’m at my happiest when I have a big plate of food in front of me then it literally takes seconds for my #happyfoodface to appear. One day I thought that it would be nice to gather all my foodie chat into one place. Somewhere that I could talk food to anyone who was interested without boring those who weren’t. So Sip Scoff Scribe as born and I’ve been sipping, scoffing and scribing about it ever since – hence the name.
On my blog you’ll find:
Recipes for quick, easy and tasty food. Often with a healthy twist, don’t cost a fortune to make and don’t involve a tonne of ingredients that you can’t pronounce let alone find in the shops. I adapt recipes from my ever growing stash of cook books, create my own variations of classic dishes and I’m always experimenting to create something new. Working long hours in an office all week I don’t have much time for cooking but I do still want something I can look forward to. So the recipes I post here are perfect for busy people.
You’ll see occasional posts about places that I recommend to go out to eat across Manchester and beyond. If you know anywhere I might like be sure to get in touch!
Once a month I also try to include a mini fitness update. I initially started doing this to track my own progress but then I discovered that quite a few of you were actually interested to see how I got on. I’ve never been sporty but over the last couple of years I’ve started to enjoy fitness and I’m loving feeling fitter and stronger.
Tweet me @Sipscoffscribe or follow me on Instagram @Sipscoffscribe to say hello and subscribe to the weekly newsletter for the latest updates. I love talking to people who share an interest in food and I do hope you enjoy reading this blog.
